Good news, tech enthusiasts! Samsung is expanding its Certified Re-Newed program, offering a sustainable way to snag a premium Galaxy S25 series phone. This initiative, already available in the US, is now making its way to Europe, specifically the UK, Germany, and France.
In the UK and Germany, you'll find these devices under the 'Certified Re-Newed' banner. France, however, has a slightly different name: 'Refurbished Premium By Samsung' (or 'Reconditionné Premium par Samsung'). But don't let the names confuse you; it's the same great deal!

- Galaxy S25: 128GB/256GB/512GB
- Galaxy S25+: 256GB/512GB
- Galaxy S25 Ultra: 512GB
- Germany:
- Galaxy S25: 512GB - €860
- Galaxy S25+: 512GB - €1,040
- Galaxy S25 Ultra: 256GB - €1,240
- France:
- Galaxy S25: 256GB - €800
- Galaxy S25+: 256GB - €1,000
- Galaxy S25 Ultra: 256GB - €1,250
Keep in mind that availability may vary, especially when it comes to storage options. Also, it appears that the Edge and FE models aren't part of this program, at least for now.
But what exactly does 'Certified Re-Newed' mean? Only top-tier, returned devices make the cut. These phones undergo a meticulous process:
- Thorough Cleaning: Each phone receives a deep clean.
- Rigorous Testing: They must pass over 100 quality tests.
- Genuine Parts: Any necessary repairs use authentic Samsung components, including a brand-new, certified battery.
- Latest Software: The devices are updated with the most current software.
- New IMEI Numbers: Each phone gets a fresh identity.
These refurbished phones are then packaged in new, eco-friendly boxes. Inside, you'll find the essentials you'd expect from a new device: a USB-C cable and a SIM ejector tool.
Here's a significant advantage: Samsung offers the same warranty for its Certified Re-Newed phones as it does for brand-new ones. This sets them apart from many third-party refurbishment deals, offering peace of mind.
Want even more protection? Consider Samsung Care+, which provides benefits like a free battery replacement if its health drops below 80% and extra coverage in case of theft.
Jun Kim, EVP and Head of Galaxy Value Innovation Team at Samsung Electronics, stated that they are excited to expand the program in European markets. This expansion aims to provide customers with more options for purchasing flagship devices while contributing to a circular economy.
But here's where it gets controversial... Samsung US also includes Galaxy Z units (up to Z Flip6 and Z Fold6) in its Certified Re-Newed program. However, these are not yet available in Europe.
