The David Yurman Gem Awards Grant, established in partnership with Jewelers of America and David Yurman Enterprises LLC, aims to nurture and support emerging fine jewelry designers. Out of ninety nominations, Nelson's exceptional talent and potential were recognized, alongside finalists Hiba Husayni of Zahn-Z, Jules Kim of Bijules, Dorian Webb, and Lorraine West.
